Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team to maximize external funding opportunities for the community of Trafford.
  • Coordinate funding bids to support regeneration and growth in partnership with other teams.
  • Manage the UK Shared Prosperity Fund Communities and Place programme and future programmes.
  • Ensure effective internal systems are in place.
  • Work with stakeholders such as Development and Estates, Strategic Planning, and Highways to secure external funding for projects.
  • Support delivery of significant regeneration projects, including New Carrington, Davenport Green, Wharfside, and Old Trafford Regeneration, by identifying funding.
  • Use written and communication skills when interacting with businesses, the public, partner agencies, Council officers, and elected members.
  • Report to the Inclusive Economy and Communities Manager.
  • Work flexible hours, including occasional unsocial hours.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 3-4 years experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience in sourcing, bidding, securing and monitoring external funding.
