A collaborative team of architects and designers is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable HR generalist who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on HR delivery. As the studio’s go-to HR contact, you’ll provide trusted advice and practical support across all aspects of HR. From recruitment, payroll and compliance to training, wellbeing and employee relations, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a positive culture while ensuring processes run smoothly. Reporting directly to the board of directors, you’ll have the scope to make a real impact in a creative, people-focused environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries across the studio
- Managing and updating HR policies, procedures, and compliance
- Overseeing HR systems (Access People HR) and accurate record-keeping
- Coordinating payroll with external providers
- Leading recruitment, onboarding, and internship programmes
- Organising CPD, training, performance reviews, and development initiatives
- Managing employee benefits, wellbeing programmes, and engagement
- Overseeing Health & Safety compliance with an external advisor
- Preparing clear and concise HR reports for directors
What we’re looking for:
- Strong communication skills with a confident, approachable manner
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Integrity, discretion, and a proactive, professional outlook
- Knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with HR software an advantage)
This is a part-time role with flexibility across working days and hours. An excellent benefits package is included.
