An experienced Finance Manager is sought by a highly regarded, international architecture and design practice with studios in London and Oslo. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the studio, offering the opportunity to shape financial strategy, refine systems, and support directors in decision-making. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in Xero, confident managing the complexities of multi-company, multi-currency accounting, and adept at navigating the financial structures unique to the architecture and design sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations including bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing, reconciliations, expenses, and supplier payments
- Produce monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasts, annual budgets, and board reports, ensuring compliance with HMRC and audits
- Manage multi-company, multi-currency accounts and project-based billing in Xero and project management software
- Monitor project profitability, fee tracking, and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
- Refine and maintain financial systems, processes, and policies, harnessing new technologies to improve efficiency
- Liaise with directors, accountants, auditors, and external providers while supporting and mentoring finance staff as needed
