We are expanding our team and seeking skilled and detail-oriented Window Fitters Mate to join our existing team of two experienced fitters.
Predominantly working in the Fife Area. ( This can be a team of two who already work together. ) Experience is essential The ideal candidates will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of windows and doors in residential and commercial properties.
This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools.
The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in multiple trades, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
There will be a 3 month probation period.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace windows and doors in accordance with industry standards and building regulations.
- UPVC window preparations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively during installation processes.
- Conduct measurements and assessments to ensure accurate fitting of windows.
- Perform necessary adjustments to frames, sills, and other components for optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the installation process.
- Be able to Work alone and alongside other tradespeople and maintain professional at all times.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries and concerns professionally. Requirements
- Proven experience in window fitting or a related construction field is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to window installation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness as the role may require lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- A valid driving licence will be required for travel between job sites.
- Hours: Monday to Friday: 07:30am – job finish. (occasional Saturdays may be required)
