We are expanding our team and seeking skilled and detail-oriented window and door fitters to join us, predominantly working in the Fife area. Experience is essential.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of windows and doors in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in multiple trades, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. There will be a 3-month probation period.
Responsibilities:- Install, repair, and replace windows and doors in accordance with industry standards and building regulations.
- UPVC window preparations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively during installation processes.
- Conduct measurements and assessments to ensure accurate fitting of windows.
- Perform necessary adjustments to frames, sills, and other components for optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the installation process.
- Work alone and alongside other tradespeople while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries and concerns professionally.
- Proven experience in window fitting or a related construction field is essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to window installation.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness as the role may require lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- A valid driving licence will be required for travel between job sites.
Hours: Monday to Friday: 07:30am – job finish. (Occasional Saturdays may be required)
