P&L Recruitment are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a growing Accountancy Firm based in North Lanarkshire, to recruit a Practice Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Practice Accountant Assistant to take on a diverse client base including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from a variety of industry sectors within a small friendly team environment with a clear pathway for progression.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Preparing sole trader, partnership and Limited Company accounts for a variety of clients
- Preparing management accounts
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Preparing corporation tax computations
- Preparing self-assessment tax returns
- Managing client relationships
- Acting as a mentor to the junior staff members
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in Practice is essential
- QBE, ACCA, ICAS qualified
- Strong core skills of statutory accounts preparation
- Xero and Iris experience is preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ambitious and hard working
