Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours) or Part-time (22.5 hours +)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our audit technical team. This role will play a key part in our firm’s ambitious growth plans to double in size over the next five years. This role is an excellent fit for someone with a keen interest in audit quality and compliance and who enjoys collaborating with key internal stakeholders.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:
- Providing technical audit and accounting support for the audit team
- Providing proactive support to the audit team on the use of data analytics
- Contributing to the design and delivery of our firm’s audit technical training programme
- Completing hot and cold file reviews as part of the firm’s audit monitoring activities
The ideal candidate will hold an ACA or ACCA qualification and have a good all-round level of audit and accounting knowledge and experience. Knowledge of IFRS would be beneficial, but not essential.
The important things you will be doing:
- Responsible for dealing with audit and accounting technical queries
- Conducting internal hot and cold file reviews
- Assisting with updates to the firm’s audit methodology, including the use of data analytics
- Supporting the firm’s technical training programme
- Supporting internal ad-hoc audit-related projects
The skills and experience you will bring:
- Be a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant – or equivalent
- Experience in performing file reviews to ensure compliance with UK auditing standards
- Strong UK GAAP financial reporting knowledge
- Excellent written and communication skills
