PKF Lawyers, Manitoba’s Law Firm, is seeking a career-minded, detail-oriented professional for a full-time receptionist/accounting assistant position at our Morden location. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, promptly notifying the relevant Firm members of their arrival.
- Efficiently manage a multi-line telephone system, providing prompt and courteous service and working closely with team members to direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Receive deliveries, faxes, and emails and route them to the proper recipient on a timely basis in coordination with the team.
- Process payment of invoices, including issuing receipts.
- Monitor outgoing deliveries to ensure they are picked up on a timely basis.
- Coordinating appointments to optimize office resources and prevent scheduling conflicts.
- Maintain professional appearance of boardrooms and conference rooms, ensuring they are always clean, organized, and client-ready.
- Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
- 1+ years experience as a receptionist is considered an asset, but not required.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail are essential for this role.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and organize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a professional team environment while contributing to a supportive and engaging workplace culture.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong technical aptitude with ability to quickly master new software applications, proficiently manage calendar systems, and maintain organized digital file storage.
- Proficient in operating various office equipment, including a multi-line telephone console system, computer, and photocopier.
- Ability to work well independently and follow instructions with little supervision.
