If so, you could be a key player in the day-to-day leadership of our talented Business Advisory team in Plymouth.
In this role, you will oversee the review of final accounts and tax computations, contribute to training initiatives, and lead annual appraisals—helping shape the future of our team. This is a client-facing role where you’ll be encouraged to engage with clients regularly, offering ongoing support and strategic advice.
What you’ll be doing day to day:
- Leading client relationships
- Monitoring budgets, time, and expenses
- Reviewing working papers, accounts, and tax compliance
- Offering tax, accounting, and commercial advice
- Resolving accounting and tax issues
- Ensuring compliance with firm standards
- Maintaining long-term client relationships through effective communication
- Discussing significant findings with the engagement Partner
- Identifying opportunities to offer additional services to clients
About you:
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience, with relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience of managing a portfolio of clients and assisting partners in maintaining client relationships
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
- Proven background supervising a team of accounts staff
- Organised, accurate, flexible and able to plan use of time efficiently
- Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with both clients, team members and colleagues, with the aptitude to quickly build rapport
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
