Are you an experienced audit professional with a passion for working with legal clients? By joining our Professional Practices team you\’ll play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier services to prestigious law firms and legal organisations.

You\’ll lead assignments with new and established legal sector clients, including law firms across the UK ranging from top 100 firms to sole practitioners. Your expertise will be crucial in providing tailored audit services, ensuring compliance, and delivering insightful advice. You\’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes.

What you\’ll be doing day to day

  • Plan, carry out and complete statutory audits of corporate clients, both on-site and back in the office
  • Lead the audit team on-site, ensuring audit procedures are adhered to, all hours are correctly recorded, and budgets are met
  • Supervise and support the work of junior team members
  • Produce work for Managers and/ or Partners review, clearly highlighting technical or client-specific issues and providing possible solutions where required.
  • Have the opportunity undertake statutory accounts preparation work.

About you

  • ACA/ ACCA qualified/part qualified (or equivalent)
  • Statutory audit experience, gained in a public practice environment
  • Organised and able to plan time efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly with clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in using automated audit software and computer-based accounts and tax compilation programmes
