The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join the school’s upper key stage two team. You will:
- Teach a Year 6 class, ensuring pupils are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments, while maintaining a broad and creative curriculum.
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, inform planning and provide feedback to pupils and parents.
- Support pupils in developing resilience, independence, and a love of learning.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and pastoral support.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the high standards expected by the school and community.
Person Specification
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds QTS (or equivalent) and has proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
- Has a secure understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and the expectations of end-of-key-stage assessments.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire pupils.
- Is reflective, ambitious and committed to their own professional development.
- Is a team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
