PK Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Digbeth, Birmingham. This is a full-time maternity cover position starting in September 2026 and running until July 2027.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 2 teacher who is confident teaching Year 6 and supporting pupils through their final year of primary school, including preparation for SATs and transition to secondary education.
The Role:- Full-time Year 6 class teacher
- Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Preparing pupils for Key Stage 2 SATs
- Assessing and tracking pupil progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
- Communicating effectively with parents and carers
- Friendly and supportive primary school in the B12 area of Birmingham
- Strong leadership team and collaborative staff environment
- Well-behaved and enthusiastic pupils
- Supportive teaching assistants and resources available
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Strong knowledge of the UK Primary National Curriculum
- Experience preparing pupils for SATs
