We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference to young people's lives by delivering engaging Mathematics lessons and supporting students to overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will be committed to building positive relationships, promoting student wellbeing, and helping every learner achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons.
- Adapt teaching to meet individual student needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback.
- Build positive relationships with students and support their emotional wellbeing.
- Use positive behaviour management strategies to promote engagement and learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Contribute positively to the wider school community.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:35am - 3:35pm
Thursday: 8:35am - 4:20pm
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Mathematics.
- Understanding of, or experience working with, students with SEMH needs.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A positive, patient, and resilient approach.
- Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insurance.
Travel Requirements
Home visits are a mandatory part of the role and help support student engagement and family relationships. Regular travel will be required as part of the role. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed in line with company policy.
