PK Education are working in partnership with a Specialist SEND & SEMH Primary Provision Across Multiple Sites to recruit a dedicated and resilient HLTA (Level 4 Teaching Assistant) to support primary-aged pupils with ASD and SEMH needs across their specialist provisions. This is a highly rewarding role supporting vulnerable children who require consistency, structure, emotional understanding, and hands-on support to thrive in education.
Role:
- Delivering targeted support and interventions across primary settings
- Supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH and complex needs
- Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
- Providing personal care where required (essential)
- Working flexibly across multiple PRU sites
- Supporting learning both 1:1 and in small groups
Ideal candidate:
- HLTA qualification or Level 4 Teaching Assistant status
- Experience supporting children with ASD and SEMH
- Team Teach training (essential)
- Confidence with behaviour management and emotional regulation
- willingness and professionalism around personal care support
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
