Teaching Assistant- SLD/PMLD experience
Location: Doncaster
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level Two Teaching Assistant to join our team in Doncaster. This is a full-time, term-time only temporary position with the potential to become permanent.
The successful candidate must hold a valid child and adult workforce DBS. In-house training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
About the Pupils:
The School is a special day school catering to pupils aged 3 19 years with severe, profound, and/or multiple learning difficulties (SLD/PMLD). Many students have complex physical disabilities and associated medical conditions. A significant number are non-verbal and require assistance with personal care, including feeding, mobility, and toileting. Some pupils may need 2:1 or 3:1 support, depending on individual requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to pupils with their learning and personal care needs.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized education plans.
- Work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality care and support.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all pupils.
Hours of Work: 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, during term time.
Pay: £12.07 – £14.43 per hour (PAYE)
We are looking for a reliable, empathetic, and enthusiastic individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our pupils. Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
