Are you passionate about supporting children and young people within education settings? We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants and SEND Support Staff to work across welcoming and supportive primary schools in the Monk Fryston, Saxton and wider Selby area. We are looking for caring, proactive and adaptable individuals who can support pupils academically, emotionally and socially within classroom and intervention environments.
Location: Castleford / Saxton / Selby area
Pay: £90 - £110 per day depending on experience
Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities available
Start Date: Immediate starts and September 2026 roles available
Duties may include:
- Classroom support
- 1:1 EHCP support
- SEND intervention work
- Behaviour and pastoral support
- Small group work
- Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and additional learning needs
Ideal candidates will:
- Have previous experience working with children or young people
- Have a nurturing and patient approach
- Be adaptable and proactive within classroom settings
- Have strong communication skills
- Hold relevant TA qualifications or transferable support experience (desirable)
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Be able to provide two professional references
