Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Coordinator to join their Hospitality & Catering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a commercial training restaurant, supporting both the day-to-day operation of the venue and the development of hospitality learners.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Restaurant Manager to deliver an outstanding customer experience while helping to create a professional, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the daily operation of a busy commercial training restaurant.
Support, coach and assess hospitality learners during practical restaurant service.
Deliver high standards of customer service, ensuring an excellent dining experience for guests.
Prepare the restaurant for service sessions and ensure learners are fully briefed and ready for service.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to learners to support their development.
Assist with lesson planning, assessment activities and learner progress in line with awarding body requirements.
Maintain learning resources and relevant documentation.
Liaise with internal support teams regarding learner attendance, wellbeing and safeguarding.
Handle cash and process financial returns accurately.
Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health & Safety and licensing legislation.
Support the coordination of internal and external hospitality events.
Work collaboratively with the Restaurant Manager to introduce new ideas and industry best practice.
Deputise for the Restaurant Manager when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who has
Previous experience within a restaurant, hospitality or food & beverage environment.
Excellent customer service and organisational skills.
Experience supervising or training staff or learners is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A recognised hospitality qualification (or equivalent industry experience).
A Food Safety qualification and a sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
A positive, proactive and professional approach with a passion for hospitality.
