PK Education are working with a secondary school in Sheffield who are looking to appoint an experienced teacher from January 2027 to cover a period of maternity leave. The timetable will include a mixture of post-16 and secondary teaching, with the successful candidate covering:
- Y12 Psychology
- Y10 Health & Social Care
- Y11 Sociology
- Y7 RS
This is a full-time role running from 4th January until the end of March 2027. The school are looking for somebody with the subject knowledge and experience to confidently teach across both KS4 and KS5.
The Role
- Teaching Psychology at Y12
- Teaching Health & Social Care at Y10
- Teaching Sociology at Y11
- Teaching RS at Y7
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Assessing and monitoring student progress
- Supporting students with their GCSE and post-16 studies
- Working as part of a supportive wider Humanities and Social Sciences team
We're Looking For
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching across KS4 and KS5
- Strong subject knowledge in the subjects listed above
- Confident classroom and behaviour management
- Ability to teach across different year groups and subjects
- A reliable and professional approach
This is a varied role that would suit an experienced secondary teacher who is comfortable teaching across Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care and RS, with a particular focus on KS4 and KS5.
