PK Education are working with a secondary school in Sheffield who are looking to appoint a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive inclusion team within a mainstream secondary school, providing dedicated support to help a student access learning, develop confidence, and engage positively throughout the school day.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, the SENCO, and pastoral team to ensure the student receives consistent support across lessons and around the wider school environment.
The Role
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Supporting access to learning across a range of subjects
- Assisting with organisation, engagement, and classroom participation
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Working closely with teachers and the wider SEND team
- Supporting the implementation of strategies outlined within the student's support plan
