SEND Teaching Assistant β Special School\\n Bradford\\n Temporary β Term Time Only\\n\\nPK Education is partnering with special schools in Bradford area who are seeking experienced Special Educational Needs (SEND) Teaching Assistants who are flexible, consistent, and reliable in supporting students with a wide range of SEND needs. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in working with severe complex needs, PMLD, SLD and non-verbal and pre-verbal primary & Secondary aged students. This role is challenging but incredibly rewarding, ideally for individuals with prior experience in special schools or similar settings.\\n\\nRole Overview:\\n\\nLocation: BradfordΒ \\nDuration: Temporary, Full-time, Term-time only\\nDaily Rate: Β£12.07 -Β£14.43 per hour\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nSupport the class teacher and SEND students, ensuring their needs are met at all times.\\nWork with Primary and secondary age students with severe complex needs, PMLD, SLD,Β non-verbal, and pre-verbal ASD assisting with their individual learning and development.\\nBuild trusted, nurturing relationships with students to create a positive learning environment.\\nSupport students to understand and manage their abilities, challenges, and frustrations, helping them to achieve learning outcomes.\\nShow a flexible and hands-on approach to working with a wide range of needs.\\nIdeal Candidate:\\n\\nExperience working with students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, especially in a special school or similar setting.\\nMinimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).\\nExperience with children on the Autistic Spectrum and those with severe learning difficulties.\\nMAKATON, PECS, Visual Aids, PEG Feed, and Hoist Training are desirable, but not essential.\\nSome Personal Care may be involved.\\nPassionate, motivated, and highly enthusiastic about working with students who have differentiated needs.\\nKnowledge of SEND teaching strategies and a deep understanding of how to tailor support to meet individual needs.\\nAdditional Qualifications (Desirable):\\n\\nGNVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care\\nSEND Diploma or equivalent\\nMAKATON, PECS, Visual Aid, and other SEND-specific training\\nMust have a Child and Adult workforce DBS on the subscription service or willing to obtain one.
