PK Education are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work across primary and secondary schools in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support students with emotional, behavioural and academic needs
- Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and SENCOs
Requirements
- Previous experience working with SEN children or young people
- A caring, patient and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential)
