PK Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Safeguarding Officer to join a supportive Secondary/SEND setting in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and proactive professional who is passionate about safeguarding, promoting student welfare, and supporting vulnerable children and families. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students, working closely with school staff, external agencies, parents, and carers to provide effective safeguarding support and intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the school’s safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Monitoring, recording, and managing safeguarding concerns appropriately
- Working with vulnerable students and their families to provide guidance and support
- Supporting attendance monitoring and implementing intervention strategies where required
- Maintaining accurate safeguarding records using CPOMS
- Liaising with external agencies and contributing to multi-agency meetings
- Promoting a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous safeguarding and child protection experience
- DSL or DDSL experience (desirable)
- Knowledge and experience in safeguarding policies and procedures
