We are working with a specialist youth provision in Girlington, Bradford, seeking a dedicated and resilient PSHE Tutor to join their team on a full‑time, temp‑to‑perm basis. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and delivering meaningful PSHE education that makes a genuine impact.
The Pupils
- Have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Have experienced trauma, adverse childhood experiences, or disrupted education
- Require strong boundaries, consistency, and positive role modelling
- Benefit from a nurturing, relationship‑based approach to learning
Class sizes are small, and the focus is on engagement, emotional regulation, life skills, and personal development alongside PSHE delivery.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and structured PSHE lessons
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, confidence, and self‑awareness
- Build trusted, professional relationships with young people
- Work collaboratively with a wider pastoral and teaching team
- Maintain a calm, firm, and supportive classroom presence
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with SEMH, PRU, alternative provision or youth settings
- Confident delivering or supporting PSHE / personal development
- Resilient, empathetic, and emotionally intelligent
- Able to de‑escalate situations and model positive behaviour
- Qualified teachers, instructors, or experienced tutors are all welcome
