PK Education are looking to recruit dependable and enthusiastic Premises Assistants to join our Facilities. You will play an important role in helping schools maintain safe, clean and welcoming environments for pupils, staff and visitors. Working on a flexible bank basis, you will provide practical support across a variety of educational settings, making every day different. This role is ideal for candidates with facilities, maintenance, caretaking or general site experience who enjoy practical, hands-on work and are looking for flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of school premises
- Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs and general site duties
- Assisting with classroom, hall and meeting room set-ups
- Moving furniture, equipment and deliveries around the school site
- Completing routine site inspections to identify maintenance or safety issues
- Ensuring school buildings and grounds remain clean, safe and well-presented
- Reporting maintenance concerns and health and safety hazards to the appropriate staff
- Supporting school caretakers and site teams during busy periods
- Maintaining outdoor areas, entrances and pathways where required
- Assisting with opening and locking school buildings when necessary
Requirements
