PK Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in North Tyneside for a Teaching Assistant to provide maternity cover within their dedicated SEN Unit. This rewarding role involves supporting a small group of pupils, with a maximum of 12 children, who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to create a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
Ideal Candidate
- Have experience working within Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through to Year 5.
- Be confident supporting children with a variety of SEND needs.
- Enjoy getting involved in play-based learning and interacting with children at their level.
- Be energetic, enthusiastic, and highly engaging, with the ability to capture and maintain children's interest.
- Be comfortable participating in sensory activities, outdoor play, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Not be afraid to get messy and fully immerse themselves in activities that excite and motivate children.
- Have a patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting learning and development.
