PK Education is working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Newcastle to recruit an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys creating engaging learning experiences that help young children grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence.
About the Role
- Supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Assisting with the delivery of creative, play‑based learning activities.
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can learn and develop.
- Encouraging children’s social, emotional, and communication skills through positive interactions and play.
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team to support individual learning and development needs.

- Has experience working with children within an EYFS setting.
- Understands the importance of learning through play and child‑led exploration.
- Brings energy, positivity, and enthusiasm to the classroom every day.
- Enjoys being actively involved in activities, whether that’s storytelling, role play, outdoor learning, arts and crafts, or messy play.
- Can build strong relationships with children and encourage participation through fun and engaging interactions.
- Is comfortable supporting children’s personal care needs, including nappy changing and toileting assistance where required.
- Has a nurturing and patient approach, helping children feel secure and supported as they learn.
- Works well as part of a team and is committed to providing the best possible start to a child’s education.
