PK Education is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in County Durham seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Economics Teacher to join their successful department from September. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs to join a supportive school with strong leadership, excellent student behaviour, and a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality Economics lessons across KS4 and KS5, supporting students in developing strong analytical, financial, and critical thinking skills.

The Role
  • Teach Economics across KS4 and KS5
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons
  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress
  • Contribute positively to the wider department and school community
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Requirements
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Economics within a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Passion for education and supporting student achievement
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Desirable
  • Ability to teach Business Studies alongside Economics
  • Experience delivering A-Level Economics
