PK Education are proud to be working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Newcastle, who are looking to appoint an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join their team as English Lead from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic practitioner with a strong background in English and a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.

The Role

  • Full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026
  • Lead and develop the English curriculum across the school
  • Deliver engaging, creative and differentiated English lessons
  • Support students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH and SEND
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders, teachers and support staff
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to curriculum planning and development

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching English at secondary level
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be passionate about inclusive education and supporting learners with additional needs
