We are currently recruiting reliable and enthusiastic School Kitchen Assistants to join our bank team, providing cover across a variety of primary and secondary schools throughout Milton Keynes, Aylesbury & surrounding.

As a School Kitchen Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting the preparation and service of nutritious meals while helping to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation and meal service.
- Serve food to pupils and staff in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Prepare dining areas and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Support stock rotation, deliveries, and general kitchen organisation.
- Follow food safety, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues to the Catering Manager.
- Work as part of the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Suitable candidate
- Previous catering, kitchen, or food service experience is desirable but not essential.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work well in a busy team environment.
- Good communication skills and a strong understanding of hygiene standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- A Level 2 Food Safety Certificate is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in a school setting is an advantage.
