We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Teesside ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to become part of a well-resourced Design & Technology department, delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs.

The Role:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Food Technology lessons
  • Teaching practical and theory-based lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Encouraging creativity, independence, and safe working practices within the classroom
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress in line with school policies
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
  • A passion for practical learning and student development
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
