We are working in partnership with a well-established alternative provision in Rotherham that supports young people who have been unable to thrive in mainstream education. This setting focuses on re-engagement, emotional regulation, and building trust to help students move forward both academically and personally.

This is a fantastic opportunity for either a qualified teacher or an experienced unqualified educator with a strong background in behaviour support, PRU/AP settings, or secondary English.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and accessible English lessons across KS3-KS4
  • Adapt learning to meet a wide range of needs, including SEMH and behavioural challenges
  • Build positive, consistent relationships with students who may be disengaged from education
  • Work closely with a supportive, multi-disciplinary team focused on student progress and wellbeing
  • Contribute to a structured and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • QTS/QTLS or strong unqualified experience within PRU, AP, or similar settings
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour with a calm, consistent approach
  • Able to differentiate learning and think creatively to engage learners
  • Resilient, patient, and committed to supporting vulnerable young people
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
