PK Education are recruiting for Graduate Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Doncaster from September. This is particularly well suited to graduates who are considering a career in teaching and want to get genuine classroom experience before committing to teacher training. You don't need to have completed a teaching qualification. Instead, we're looking for graduates who can communicate confidently, build relationships with young people and take charge of a classroom.
You'll be given pre-planned lessons to deliver, meaning your focus is on classroom management, student engagement and creating a positive learning environment.
The role includes:
- Covering lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering work prepared by the class teacher
- Managing behaviour and keeping students on task
- Supporting students with their work
- Gaining experience across different subjects and year groups
We're looking for:
- A degree in any subject
- Strong communication skills
- Confidence working with young people
- A genuine interest in secondary education
- Previous experience with children or young people is advantageous but not essential
