Supply Cover Supervisors / Sports Coaches are currently being recruited to work in a variety of secondary schools across Doncaster. Opportunities are available on a day-to-day, short-term and long-term basis, offering flexible work to suit your availability.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with young people, particularly those with a background in sport, coaching, education, or youth work, who are looking to gain experience in secondary school settings.
Role Responsibilities:- Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher
- Delivering pre-set lesson work and ensuring students remain on task
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting students with their learning where appropriate
- Acting as a positive role model and maintaining a safe learning environment
- For Sports Coaches: supporting PE lessons, sports activities, and extracurricular sessions when required
- Experience working with children or young people (essential)
- A background in sports coaching, education, youth work, or similar (desirable)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Confidence supervising groups of secondary-aged students
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and a professional attitude
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
