We’re expanding our supply team and are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join us on a day-to-day, short-term, or long-term basis from September. About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You’ll be delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing the classroom environment, and ensuring pupils remain on task in a supportive and safe setting.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
- Deliver lessons as set by the classroom teacher or department
- Maintain a calm and focused classroom atmosphere
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and engagement
- Support students with tasks and respond to any questions they may have
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in managing groups of young people
- A calm, proactive, and flexible approach
- Ability to follow instructions and use initiative when needed
- Previous experience in a school or working with young people is desirable
- A genuine interest in education and student development
Requirements:
- A degree or relevant qualification is preferred but not essential
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
- Availability from September 2025
