Design Technology Teacher – September Start Central Birmingham £200 - £250 per day (£1,000 - £1,250 per week)
Are you an experienced and confident Design Technology Teacher looking for a new challenge from September? PK Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a busy secondary school in Central Birmingham who are seeking a resilient, enthusiastic, and highly skilled DT Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the confidence, experience, and classroom presence required to make a real impact.
The school is looking for someone who can build strong relationships with students, maintain high expectations, and inspire learners through engaging and practical DT lessons.
The successful candidate will:
- Teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4
- Deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons
- Have strong classroom management skills and the ability to set clear boundaries
- Motivate and support students of varying abilities
- Build positive relationships and encourage students to achieve their potential
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Recent experience teaching DT within a UK secondary school
- A confident and consistent approach to behaviour management
- The ability to engage and challenge students in a demanding environment
- A passion for developing students’ creativity, skills, and confidence
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
