PK Education are recruiting for a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school. This is a full-time role, ideal for a teacher who is committed to inspiring students through engaging and inclusive drama lessons.

Key Duties:

  • Planning, delivering and assessing engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential)
  • Marking work and monitoring student progress in line with school policies
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and confidence
  • Preparing students for performances, practical assessments and examinations
  • Supporting pupils of all abilities, including those with additional learning needs
  • Contributing to school productions, extracurricular drama clubs and enrichment activities
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Ideal Background:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A passion for performing arts and inspiring young people
  • Knowledge of the current Drama curriculum and GCSE specifications
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply
