PK Education are recruiting for a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school. This is a full-time role, ideal for a teacher who is committed to inspiring students through engaging and inclusive drama lessons.
Key Duties:
- Planning, delivering and assessing engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential)
- Marking work and monitoring student progress in line with school policies
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and confidence
- Preparing students for performances, practical assessments and examinations
- Supporting pupils of all abilities, including those with additional learning needs
- Contributing to school productions, extracurricular drama clubs and enrichment activities
- Building positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Ideal Background:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- A passion for performing arts and inspiring young people
- Knowledge of the current Drama curriculum and GCSE specifications
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply
