We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Business Teacher to join a lovely and welcoming secondary school in Northumberland. This is an ongoing position starting ASAP, covering long-term sickness, with the opportunity to make a real impact on students' learning and progress.
The successful candidate will be teaching Business Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4, working within a supportive department and a well‐led school with a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective Business lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Mark work and provide constructive feedback to support student progress
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
- Track and monitor student progress and adapt teaching accordingly
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and the Business department
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Business at KS3 and KS4
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business
- Good classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Immediate start with ongoing work
- Supportive and friendly secondary school
