As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring continuity of learning by delivering pre-planned lessons during teacher absences. You'll work across a variety of subjects, supervising classes, maintaining positive behaviour, and supporting students to remain engaged with their learning. The school has a strong focus on high standards, positive relationships, and student development, with clear behaviour systems and excellent support from senior leaders and teaching staff.
The Role
- Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absence
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting students with questions relating to the work set
- Recording attendance and reporting any concerns to teaching staff
- Assisting with other school duties where required, including exam invigilation
