Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £165–£230 per day, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time | Fixed-term

PK Education is recruiting an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher for a secondary school in the Wakefield area, starting January 2027.
This full-time, fixed-term position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified English specialist who enjoys inspiring young people, developing literacy skills and delivering engaging lessons across the secondary curriculum.
The Role:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons.
- Support pupils in developing reading, writing and analytical skills.
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
- Establish a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement.
- Contribute to the wider English department.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching English within a UK secondary school.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and effective classroom management.
- Has a genuine passion for literature, language and pupil development.
- Is available to commence a full-time position in January 2027.
