PK Education is currently recruiting for Literacy and Numeracy Intervention Teaching Assistants to support pupils at a primary school in Northumberland.
We are looking for patient, enthusiastic individuals who can help children build confidence and make progress in their reading, writing and maths.
The role:

Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions to individuals and small groups.

Support reading, phonics, comprehension, writing and core maths skills.

Work alongside teachers to tailor activities to pupils' learning needs.

Monitor pupils' progress and share feedback with teaching staff.

Encourage engagement, independence and confidence.

Adapt support for pupils with SEND or those requiring additional help.
Requirements:

Experience supporting primary-aged pupils, ideally with literacy or numeracy interventions.

A good understanding of primary English and maths, including phonics.

The ability to build positive relationships and adapt activities to different abilities.

Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging approach.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
