We are seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer to support, maintain, and improve our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in networking fundamentals, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. This role requires someone who can operate both independently and collaboratively, and who has hands-on experience with Zero Trust technologies such as Zscaler.
Key responsibilities include:- Support, configure, and maintain enterprise network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-based network services.
- Perform network monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Assist in designing and implementing secure, scalable network solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network issues and support business initiatives.
- Document network processes, configurations, and incident resolutions clearly and accurately.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network incidents as needed.
- Notable experience as a Network Engineer within an Investment Bank.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnets, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network security principles.
- Experience with both Cisco Switching and Meraki Wireless.
- Experience with SASE security platforms, with a strong preference for Zscaler. Experience with similar technologies such as Cloudflare Zero Trust, Palo Alto Prisma Access or Netskope is also valuable.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify, isolate, and resolve network issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewall technology.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent experience.
