The Restructuring and Special Situations Group advises large companies, governments and creditor groups in financially distressed situations. The group has been involved in most of the largest and most high-profile reorganizations that have occurred in the last decade. In a restructuring transaction, a wide range of strategic advisory services are provided, including advice on recapitalizations, reorganizations, corporate valuations, exchange offers, distressed mergers and acquisitions and raising debt and equity capital.

Responsibilities:

  • Helping to lead the origination and execution of restructuring transactions across our platform
  • Frequent senior-level interaction with clients and investors
  • Developing detailed business plans
  • Developing strategies to implement various restructuring transactions
  • Evaluating financial returns to current and potential investors
  • Attending key client negotiating and strategy sessions
  • Managing complex and often time-sensitive restructuring transactions from start to finish
  • Participating in both internal and external client meetings, negotiation of contracts and other agreements, and due diligence sessions

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of work experience in corporate concentrated in restructuring, leveraged & acquisition finance or credit
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree
  • Strong qualitative and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to run client meetings and coordinate deal execution
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • A desire to work in a team environment, often under tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance
  • Ability to mentor and train more junior bankers
  • Personal and professional integrity
