Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, structure, and recommend financial and strategic alternatives, including mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, and divestitures.
  • Lead day‑to‑day execution of transactions, including due diligence, valuation analysis, and negotiation of contracts and other agreements.
  • Analyze financial data and developments in financial markets relevant to the business of PJT Partners.
  • Conduct research of targeted industries for investment purposes.
  • Perform valuation analysis of prospective investment opportunities, assessing financial risks.
  • Compare a company’s financial data with other companies in the same industry, size, and location to forecast industry trends.
  • Design and develop quantitative models to assess the economic performance of targeted companies.
  • Prepare written analysis and evaluations of investment opportunities for management and client review.
  • Participate in internal and external client meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions.

Qualifications

  • Highly motivated, intelligent, and proven self‑starter with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to write effectively.
  • Background in finance/accounting and interest in the power & utilities industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in infrastructure, power & utilities investment banking (utilities, power, infrastructure, renewables or clean energy).
