A leading Bus company in London have a vacancy for a Mobile Master Technician to cover allocated London depots. The Master PSV Technician works Monday to Friday. PSV License is a MUST. Weekly Pay: £1,255.13 based on 37.5 hour week. Hourly rate: £33.47. Hourly overtime rate: £37.96.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a PSV/Bus Technician, ideally in a Master Tech or Lead Tech role.
- Strong diagnostic capabilities with 24V electrical systems, CAN-bus, ECUs, and multiplex wiring.
- Proficient in using diagnostic software (e.g., Jaltest, IDS, OEM tools) for fault finding and system programming.
- In-depth mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty diesel engines and related systems.
- Understanding of aftertreatment technologies (SCR, DPF, EGR) including diagnostics and repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and fault code descriptions.
- Full UK driving licence - PCV desirable or willingness to obtain.
- HV Level 3/4.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle /PSV Maintenance and Repair.
- IRTEC Technician Accreditation or equivalent industry certification.
- PCV Licence (Category D).
- Manufacturer-specific training (e.g., Cummins, Volvo, MAN, Scania) is a plus.
