The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to meet the growing portfolio of transport planning projects within one of the UK’s leading independent consultancies. PJA is a specialist design practice with an integrated approach to Transport, Placemaking, Environment and Engineering. Our holistic approach ensures both innovative and deliverable design solutions and supports our vision to create better places through good design.

The role will require working across a range of different projects although the focus will initially be on meeting our commitments on developing planning projects.

Our ideal candidate

  • Educated to degree level or above (Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Maths, Science, Geography etc.) with experience in development led Transport Planning projects.
  • Experience in the production of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
  • Strong technical background with experience of Microsoft Excel and industry specific software (Junctions 9, Linsig, AutoCAD, ArcGIS).
  • Experience of undertaking access feasibility studies and design.
  • Knowledge and experience of applying design guidance such as Manual for Streets and LTN 1/20.
  • An excellent understanding of the planning process in England.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute to bids and financial proposals.
