We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Graphic Designer to join our growing team. PJA is a leading independent transport, engineering and placemaking specialist with offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Manchester, Reading, Perth and Melbourne. We provide expert advice on a wide range of projects across the UK and beyond from new settlements and nationally strategic infrastructure projects, through to urban regeneration schemes and a wide range of education, employment and sports and leisure developments.

We are now looking for an Assistant Graphic Designer. We will be considering both part-time and full-time applicants for this role, so please note your preference in hours (between 24 and 37.5 hours per week) on your application. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a superb eye for detail, to advance their career with our growing, highly successful organisation.
Joining our marketing and graphic design team, you will work on multiple projects for a wide range of clients and assist in the production of all manner of collateral to support our business development strategy. The job role is varied and wide-ranging. You will be supporting both PJA’s Marketing Manager and Graphic Design Lead in their projects, as well as having an independent workload to manage.
ResponsibilitiesAttention to detail is just as important as creativity, with responsibilities ranging from concept design to final presentation and document polish. You will play a key role in ensuring presentations and documents are accurate, consistent and on brand, including formatting PowerPoint slides and Word templates. This could include:
- Brochures
- E-newsletters
- Social media visuals
- Visualisations
- Short videos
- Presentations
- Working in Word templates
You must have:
- A relevant design qualification at degree level
- IT skills in Adobe CC software
- Design skills in digital, print and 3D
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise
- Attention to detail
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial to your application:
