P J Harte, a 50-year-established family-run Building Refurbishment Contractor is looking for a Senior Buyer to join their head office in Hither Green London SE13, to manage and process the procurement of construction based materials, hired in plant and services for the company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing the buying department including a buyer and part time yard assistant.
Sourcing and ordering materials, hired in plant and site service Logistical planning of deliveries and services to accommodate the site management teams Identifying and negotiating cost-reduction opportunities within our supply chain.
Source new suppliers and maintain our existing suppliers and sub contractors data base.
Working closely with our other buyer(s) to manage and process the day-to-day order process.
Work with our Estimating Department arranging material, site services and subcontract costs for tenders.
Arranging reports and information from suppliers to assist in carbon and waste reporting.
