P J Harte Ltd are looking to recruit an Experienced Construction Project/Site Manager to join our team to successfully deliver a range of High End Residential and Commercial Refurbishment Projects within Central London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working closely with the Contract Manager and Senior Project Team members.
- Attending meetings and providing necessary information for successful project delivery.
- Overseeing site labour, sub-contractors, building surveyors, tenants, and clients.
- Managing site health and safety protocols.
- Managing the site induction process, including reviewing RAMS, ensuring receipt of certificates, inspection reports, etc., and maintaining records as per the Health & Safety Plan.
- Managing building regulations and HRB procedures and processes.
- Overseeing quality control of works at all stages and upon completion.
- Conducting site surveys and providing written reports.
- Handling basic site ordering and cost management of the project, with main financials managed by the Contract Manager.
- Collating documentation for the O&M and Safety File.
Project values typically range from £100k to £3m.
Skills and Experience
PJ Harte Ltd would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:
- At least 3 years experience managing building refurbishment projects in the UK - preferably London.
- Background in Refurbishment Projects both internal and external ideally including High End Residential, Office and Commercial projects.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Good leadership abilities.
- Ability to self-manage and work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong time management skills.
- A good knowledge of M&E systems would be beneficial for some of our upcoming projects.
Qualifications/Training:
- Site Management qualification such as SMSTS or SSSTS.
- CSCS card at site management level.
- Desirable Certifications: First Aid, Temporary Works, Scaffold Inspection Training Scheme (SITS), Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Fire Marshall.
