Head of Private Client – Lead an Established Team

Location: Dover, Kent (Hybrid options available)

Salary: Competitive & Negotiable based on experience

We are working with a well-respected, long-established high street law firm that is seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Private Client to lead their thriving department.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior leadership role, managing a team of dedicated professionals while shaping the future of the department.

The Opportunity

  • Lead a Private Client team of 4 fee earners and 2 support staff
  • Handle a varied caseload covering Wills, Probate, Trusts, Estate Administration, LPAs, and Inheritance Tax Planning
  • Take full accountability for departmental performance, team management, and client satisfaction
  • Drive business development, strengthen existing relationships, and expand the client base
  • Act as a leader and mentor, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

A qualified Private Client Solicitor – ideally 6+ years PQE

STEP qualified (preferred but not essential)

Proven experience managing complex caseloads and leading a team

Strong leadership skills and a proactive, hands-on approach

Familiar with business development, networking, and delivering a high standard of client service

A strong work ethic and commitment to building long-term success
