Head of Litigation – Lead a Thriving Department

Location: Dover, Kent (Hybrid options available)

Salary: Competitive & Negotiable based on experience

We are representing a highly regarded firm who are looking to appoint a new Head of Litigation. This rare opportunity has arisen due to the planned retirement of the current Partner and Head of Department.

This is a senior leadership role suited to an ambitious, experienced litigator ready to take the reins and continue building on the department’s success.

The Opportunity

  • Take full leadership of a well-established civil litigation department
  • Inherit an active caseload with strong support from junior staff and partners
  • Work across a broad spectrum of litigation including contract disputes, property litigation, contentious probate, debt recovery and more
  • Lead, manage and grow the team – fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Shape the department's future strategy with the firm’s full support

What We’re Looking For

A seasoned Civil Litigation Solicitor – 8+ years PQE

Currently a Managing Associate, Senior Solicitor, or Head of Department

Demonstrated experience in managing caseloads and junior staff

Leadership ambition, commercial acumen, and a growth mindset

Strong client relationship skills and a proactive attitude to developing business
